OCC News OCC Reunion Dinner 2008
A message from Chris Hora and his daughter Kelly following the club’s reunion dinner on Saturday 23rd February.

A big thank you to everyone who attended the reunion dinner at the Bickley Manor Hotel on Saturday. It was lovely to see so many former players and their wives,and very emotional when Chris was finally able to arrive at about 9.30pm having spent the best part of the day in hospital receiving treatment to enable him to come. We were both thrilled that he should be honoured with the first Life Membership of the club and sincerely hope that many former players will sign up and commit to attending reunion events in future.

Those ‘in the know’ will be able to spot the Hemple brothers, Hilton Cole, David Heron, John Barnett, Jim Targett, Bernard Jordan and many others. Steve Bradford was the successful recipient of the signed Arsenal shirt, having bid a sizeable chunk of money for the privilege in the auction. We are also delighted that the raffle raised over £600 for club funds.

Kelly is very happy to as a coordinator with all of our past players and we both very much hope that we can hold other events that will enable all players of the club past and present, to come together to enjoy good memories and create new ones. The club means a lot to people for different reasons and it’s important that we can all stay in touch and celebrate this during the year.
