Thurs 8 September 2011 - OCC auction breaks all records

Fri 2 September saw us host an auction night at the club. An idea conceived on a cold Tuesday night in February in a pub nr Waterloo had come full circle and was now to be our major fundraising evening of the season. Thanks to the generosity of each and every one of our kind donors (see link for the final list of auctioned lots) we had a large number of wide ranging prizes to offer a good sized OCC crowd. But would the event be a success? The answer was an overwhelming yes, with the night both being great entertainment and also an extremely successful one financially with over £6k being raised. This sum will go directly towards the cost of our new net facility which will benefit all concerned with the club.

As with all major events there are too many people to thank individually for the overall success of the evening. However, the following do deserve a specific mention, as without their support free of charge the evening would not have been the undoubted success that it was:
