ORPINGTON CC - EGM 2010

Dear Member

The OCC committee have called an EGM of the club, to be held in the back room of the Chelsfield Pub, to start at 8pm on Fri 5 March. All members and associates to the club are invited and indeed encourage to attend. The matters to be discussed are of a significant nature and will affect all club members going forwards.

This meeting has been called for three specific reasons;
  1. To provide an update to changes in the contractual relationship that the club has with its Landlord, Westcombe Park.
  2. To provide an update in regards to the overall facilities that the club provides to its members.
  3. To receive a financial update from the Club's treasurer. This will include details of a change in the financial status of the club. In addition, the club's treasurer will also propose a number of minor revisions to the fee levels and subscriptions for the 2010 season [which will be voted upon].
The attendance at the AGM was excellent and the views expressed by the members were extremely useful for the club's committee. We therefore encourage your attendance at this EGM in order that you can hear for yourselves key developments in regards to your club, but also so that you can once again air any views that you might have.

On a separate and final note, it is with disappointment that I have to report to you that we have not as yet had any nominations for the two elected positions that were not filled at the club's 2009 AGM [Chairman of Facilities and Youth Integration Officer]. Currently these roles are being covered by current members of the club's committee on a temporary basis. This is far from ideal and will be detrimental to the club's well being in future months if these roles are not filled on a permanent basis. If anyone would like to know more information about what either role entails then please let me know, it would be great to have these positions filled during the EGM.
